About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients by performing various diagnostic tests and procedures related to cardiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ECG testing, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and pacemaker monitoring, as well as other diagnostic cardiac procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the testing process.
  • Operate and maintain various types of diagnostic cardiac equipment, including ECG machines and Holter monitors.
  • Monitor patients during testing and take appropriate action in case of any abnormalities or cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Scan and analyze ECG, stress, Holter, and event monitor test strips, selecting and summarizing relevant data for interpretation by medical staff.
  • Transfer and assign ECGs in ECG Cardiology Management systems for interpretation by medical staff.
  • Participate in Quality Management and Quality Assurance programs, providing input and information to the Manager as required.
  • Assist with departmental orientations, in-service presentations, and the instruction of staff and students as needed.
Requirements
  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Two years' recent, related experience or equivalent.
  • A Cover Letter stating your preferred location(s), the type of shift you are applying to, and your availability to start in a new position.
