Job Title: Cardiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at East Kootenay Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing techniques related to Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter and event Recorders, and pacemaker monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Explain procedures to prepare patients for testing such as ECG, stress testing, Holter monitoring, pacemaker monitoring, and related tests.
• Perform non-invasive examinations such as ECG, stress testing, and Holter and event monitoring by attaching electrodes to the patients, operating equipment, analyzing and recording relevant data for interpretation by cardiologists and/or internists.
• Monitor patients and scan test strips during cardiograms and stress tests, taking appropriate action upon recognition of cardiac arrhythmias or other abnormalities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Scan and analyze ECG, stress, Holter and event monitor, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring test strips, selecting and assessing appropriate portions of test strips and summarizing for interpretation by medical staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
