Job Title: Cardiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients by performing various diagnostic tests and procedures related to cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ECG testing, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and pacemaker monitoring using various diagnostic equipment.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions regarding testing and results.
  • Monitor patients during testing and take appropriate action in case of cardiac arrhythmias or other abnormalities.
  • Scan and analyze ECG, stress, Holter, and event monitor test strips, and summarize results for interpretation by medical staff.
  • Transfer and assign ECGs in ECG Cardiology Management systems for interpretation by medical staff.
  • Participate in Quality Management and Quality Assurance programs, and provide input to the Manager.
  • Assist with departmental orientations, in-service presentations, and demonstrate procedures as required.
Requirements:
  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Two years' recent, related experience or equivalent.
  • Resume indicating relevant experience and skills.
  • Cover Letter stating preferred location(s), type of shift, and availability to start.
