Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee refurbishment works on a supermarket project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating handovers, implementing and improving existing procedures, and leading the day-to-day running of site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and manage RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) documents
- Coordinate handovers and sign-offs with stakeholders
- Implement and improve existing procedures to ensure efficient site operations
- Lead the day-to-day running of site activities, including supervising subcontractors and ensuring quality standards are met
- Update and check against the construction programme to ensure timely completion
- Prepare and manage site documents, such as work orders and purchase orders
- Ensure the successful completion and handover of sections of work on site
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and senior management team
Requirements:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
- 3-Day First Aid certification
- UKATA Asbestos Awareness training (desirable)
- M&S Simply Compliance training (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
