We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Rivendale Lodge Retreat in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Oversee portion control, waste management, and food safety protocols.
- Be responsible for stock rotation, ordering, and inventory management.
- Ensure that all menus and specials boards are accurately priced and displayed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A driving license and ability to drive is an advantage.
