About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Blue Arrow. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and all food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining a 5-star food hygiene rating.
  • Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including stock control, stock takes, and food orders.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth running of the kitchen.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, supporting with development needs and mentoring.
  • Support the Head Chef in achieving key targets, including labor and food production times.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a busy fresh food kitchen.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize jobs effectively.
  • Passion for great food and commitment to delivering high standards.
  • Experience in pastry preparation and menu development.
