Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our Children's Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, comprising occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses, to provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions for children with autism and learning disabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions for children with autism and learning disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Participate in service development, research, and business meetings to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Provide supervision and training to other psychology staff as needed.

 

Person Specification

  • Good honors degree in Psychology or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the BPS or equivalent in Clinical Psychology (Clinical/Counselling).
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment with children and young people with autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs.
