Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping and Data Management:
    • Perform required calibrations of laboratory equipment.
    • Maintain accurate records of calibration logs.
    • Enter data into computer files and maintain physical copies of bench sheets.
    • Prepare, summarize, and file state and local monthly DMR reports.
  • Lab Testing and Operations:
    • Conduct PADEP and Borough required laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols.
    • Liaise with external labs for outsourced testing.
    • Utilize equipment such as DO/Ph meters, sludge judges, microscopes, and other devices to obtain daily readings and make necessary adjustments.
    • Evaluate and ensure proper functioning of the Starch Recovery system.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage inventory levels of chemicals, tools, and other essential materials used within the WWTP.
    • Maintain control over costs to adhere to budget constraints.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Maintain professional relationships with state and local agencies.
    • Report any conditions affecting WWTP operations and provide recommendations for corrective action when necessary.
  • Safety and Supervision:
    • Supervise WWTP employees across three shifts.
    • Monitor employee work hours and approve payroll entries.
    • Provide guidance and support for daily tasks.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
