Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner

Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialist services in children's residential care, education, and mental health rehabilitation, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join their team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing consultation and support to care homes in their therapeutic work with looked-after children.

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for offering regular training, reflective practice, care planning, and management to ensure the implementation of PACE principles in practice.

You will also be required to provide specialist assessments of children and young people within the residential setting and create regular psychological reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and support to care homes in their therapeutic work with looked-after children
  • Offer regular training, reflective practice, care planning, and management to ensure the implementation of PACE principles in practice
  • Provide specialist assessments of children and young people within the residential setting
  • Create regular psychological reports
  • Supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants (dependent on experience)
Requirements
  • Mental Health background
  • CAMHS experience
  • Relevant qualifications to allow you to offer children long-term therapy if needed
  • Registered with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC etc)
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
