Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialist services in children's residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join their team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children's services or a therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide regular consultation to 5-6 care homes to aid their therapeutic work with looked after children.
- Offer training, reflective practice, care planning, and management to ensure PACE principles are embedded in practice.
- Supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants, depending on experience.
- Conduct specialist assessments of children and young people within the residential setting and create regular psychological reports.
- Mental Health background
- CAMHS experience
- Relevant qualifications to offer long-term therapy to children
- Registration with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC etc)
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Full support from a multidisciplinary team
- Regular clinical supervision
- Meetings and peer support
- Developmental opportunities
