About the Role

CareTech Group, a leading provider of specialist services in children's residential care, education, and mental health rehabilitation, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children's services or a therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide regular consultation to 5-6 care homes to aid their therapeutic work with looked after children, including training, reflective practice, care planning, and management.
  2. Ensure PACE principles are embedded in practice and offer expert advice on staff practice.
  3. Supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students, and Assistants, dependent on experience.
  4. Conduct specialist assessments of children and young people within the residential setting and create regular psychological reports.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.

Essential Requirements
  1. Mental Health background
  2. CAMHS experience
  3. Relevant qualifications to allow you to offer children long-term therapy if needed
  4. Registration with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC etc)
  5. Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Desirable Qualifications

Previous experience in working with children and adolescents is advantageous.
