About the Role:



We are seeking an exceptional Vascular Radiologist to join our team as a Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our vascular radiology service, providing expert care to patients and contributing to the development of our radiology department.



The post involves supervision and training of specialist registrars, participation in the out-of-hours vascular interventional rota, and opportunities to contribute to cardiac imaging and acute stroke services. Work may take place across sites, and there is the possibility of home working one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead our vascular radiology service, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective teamwork
  • Supervise and train specialist registrars, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills
  • Participate in the out-of-hours vascular interventional rota, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide urgent care to patients
  • Contribute to cardiac imaging and acute stroke services, using your expertise to improve patient outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care


Requirements:


  • FRCR (UK) or equivalent qualification
  • Subspecialty interest in vascular intervention and cardiac imaging
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, including supervising junior medical staff and making decisions about patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and education


Salary: £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience
