Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Recovery Navigator at Turning Point. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, providing guidance, and helping them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to service users, helping them develop personalized recovery plans and goals.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless care coordination and effective risk management.
- Deliver structured psycho-social interventions in group and one-to-one settings, empowering service users to acquire thinking skills and behaviors for lasting change.
- Maintain regular contact with service users, offering advice, information, and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their recovery goals.
Requirements
- Understanding of substance and alcohol use, including the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
- Ability to work dynamically in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Commitment to Turning Point's values and a passion for supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary, with annual pay progression up to £28,252.
- A recruitment and retention allowance of £2,172 - £2,542, paid in addition to basic salary, dependent on experience.
