Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, integrate, evaluate, and verify DSP audio filters and algorithms.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and verify DSP embedded solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality designs and code within agreed timescales.
  • Deliver high-quality tests within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure customer acceptance of Renesas solutions with proven and measurable compliance to specifications.
  • Drive, regulate, and prioritize activities to ensure timescales and goals are met.
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation.
  • Reduce code maintenance and increase code reuse.
Qualifications
  • Essential Excellent knowledge of DSP, MCU, IC, and audio codec architectures. Excellent knowledge of embedded architectures and real-time embedded software. Fluent in real-time embedded C/C++ programming with in-depth knowledge of DSP algorithm development. Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Good competency in Python and/or MATLAB. Good knowledge and understanding of fixed-point implementation. Good knowledge of software development workflows and working methodologies. Clearly report bugs using issue tracking tools such as JIRA. Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines. Concise and proactive communication skills critical within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
  • Desirable Good knowledge and experience in audio, digital filtering, and portable audio applications such as headphones and wireless earbuds. Good experience in optimizing DSP solutions for low footprint, low latency, and low power applications. Previous team leading or technical leading experience. Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins. Experience using SystemC.
