Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DSP Software Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, integrate, evaluate, and verify DSP audio filters and algorithms.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and verify DSP embedded solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality designs and code within agreed timescales.
  • Develop high-quality tests within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure customer acceptance of Renesas solutions with proven and measurable compliance to specifications.
  • Drive, regulate, and prioritize activities to ensure timescales and goals are met.
  • Develop high-quality technical documentation and maintain it.
  • Reduce code maintenance and increase code reuse.
Qualifications
  • Essential Excellent knowledge of DSP, MCU, IC, and audio codec architectures.
  • Excellent knowledge of embedded architectures and real-time embedded software.
  • Fluent in real-time embedded C/C++ programming with in-depth knowledge of DSP algorithm development.
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Good competency in Python and/or MATLAB.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of fixed-point implementation.
  • Good knowledge of software development workflows and working methodologies.
  • Ability to clearly report bugs using issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Concise and proactive communication skills critical within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
  • Desirable Good knowledge and experience in audio, digital filtering, and portable audio applications such as headphones and wireless earbuds.
  • Good experience in optimizing DSP solutions for low footprint, low latency, and low power applications.
  • Previous team leading or technical leading experience.
  • Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins.
  • Experience using SystemC.
