Job Description

Oliver Bernard is seeking a Contract Business Analyst to work on tactical and strategic business change initiatives within the dynamic energy trading sector.

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, assess business processes, and develop business cases to drive business change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis: Conduct thorough business analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop business cases to support business change initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to understand business processes, develop requirements, and create specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Planning & Prioritisation: Ensure effective planning and prioritisation of business change initiatives, supported by detailed requirements and agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Business Readiness: Contribute to the development of business readiness plans and assist in user training and the creation of user guides.

Requirements:

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the European Gas & Emissions Trading, both physical and financial.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Endur.
  • Lifecycle Experience: Exposure to at least three aspects of the full deal lifecycle, such as Trading Entry, Valuation & Risk Management, Confirmations, Nominations/Industry Interfaces, Operations/Logistics, Invoicing & Settlements, and Market Data Feeds and Curve Management.

Contract Business Analyst - Energy Trading - Hybrid - £750-£850/day
