About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Work Professional to join our team in Cornwall. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and identify the needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure seamless support.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to children and families.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker.
  • Able to hold child protection cases and chair multi-agency core group meetings.
  • Own transport and travel across Cornwall.
  • Able to complete and present reports within the child protection arena using Signs of Safety approach.
  • Have experience of child protection and court work and child in care work.
