Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, child protection work, care management, case load management, home visits, court work, and liaison with other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Protection: Identify and respond to child protection concerns, working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk.
  • Care Management: Develop and implement effective care plans for children and families, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Case Load Management: Prioritise and manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely interventions and effective outcomes.
  • Home Visits: Conduct regular home visits to assess the needs of children and families, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Court Work: Represent Entrust Social Care Ltd in court proceedings, advocating for the best interests of children and families.
  • Liaise with Other Professionals: Build strong relationships with other professionals, including schools, health services, and voluntary agencies, to ensure seamless support for children and families.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Equivalent: Hold a degree in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Registration with Social Work England: Be registered with Social Work England, demonstrating your commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current DBS: Hold a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, ensuring your suitability to work with vulnerable children and adults.
  • Car Driver: Possess a full driving licence, enabling you to travel to meetings and visits as required.
