Technical Delivery Lead Opportunity

Smart DCC is seeking a highly skilled Technical Delivery Lead to join our Technical Management Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of all artefacts on behalf of the Engineering function into DCC programmes.

The successful candidate will have experience in working and being a technical lead in a fast-paced, matrix and agile environment with a focus on quality. They will also have excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to various stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage key stakeholders whilst acting as a key interface between Projects, Technology and Operations.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Engineering artefacts into DCC Programmes.
  • Functionally manage Architects and Designers on a day-to-day basis to ensure they are delivering on time and of a high quality.
  • Responsible for ensuring that quality and Engineering design standards are met in all artefacts and deliverables.
  • Help and assist to collate Engineering data for weekly reports and provide in a report to the Head of Engineering InLife, Director of Engineering and CTO.
  • Assist with standardising and authoring of technical documents and create and manage a technical library of CTO design artefacts and associated/supporting documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovative Engineering practices and support and run the Design Change Assurance Forums and In Life Technical oversight processes.

Requirements:

  • A team player who can demonstrate high emotional intelligence to help solve problems and issues.
  • Experience in working and being a technical lead in a fast-paced, matrix and agile environment with a focus on quality.
  • Experience in roles in large ICT and customer-focused programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to various stakeholder groups, including non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of key business risks both technical and non-technical.
