About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, working hands-on in the kitchen to provide guidance and mentorship to the team.
  • Ensure the quality and delivery of food leaving the kitchen pass meets the highest standards.
  • Manage and maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menu plans, ensuring they meet the needs of our guests and are profitable.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve excellent service standards and maintain a positive working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a hotel environment or high-volume operation.
  • Strong knowledge of GP, stock control, costs, and wastage.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
