Located in a thriving region, this new position offers an exciting opportunity for talented Design Engineers to take on a variety of mechanical design projects across multiple industries.

With a competitive salary ranging from £42,000 to £45,000, depending on experience, we're looking for a motivated Design Engineer with several years of experience in the field. You'll join a successful manufacturing company with around 60 employees and global operations. In this role, you'll work on a range of mechanical design projects, allowing you to broaden your engineering expertise and become a key contributor to our team.

More about the role:

You will oversee the entire design process, from initial concept to production, with responsibilities including project engineering and customer interaction. Primarily, this is a Design Engineering role where you'll handle various projects, often switching between them in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll prepare, review, and approve drawings, technical specifications, reports, and more. You'll also play a role in developing methods and documentation to validate new products, ensuring the integrity of design and performance specifications, and will have the authority to sign off on documentation.

  • Several years of experience as a Design Engineer
  • Relevant engineering certifications, such as an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D Solid Modeling
  • A mechanical design focus is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to take ownership of design projects
