Highland Council is seeking a Developmental Learning Specialist to lead our early years team in delivering high-quality learning experiences for young children. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for guiding early years staff, supporting the development of our pupils, and engaging with parents in their children's educational journey.

About the Position

This fixed-term role offers a competitive salary of £30,107 - £33,665 per annum, with 35 hours worked per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of children in their care and delivering quality early level learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead early years staff in delivering high-quality learning experiences and supporting the development of our pupils.
  • Guide early years staff in their professional development and support them in their roles.
  • Engage with parents in their children's educational journey and ensure effective communication.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification in Childcare and Education, along with relevant Scottish Social Services Council registration or agreement to register. Qualifications in Food Handling and First Aid are advantageous but not essential.
