About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified early years practitioner to join our team as a nursery section lead. As a key member of our nursery management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one of our nursery sections, ensuring that the children's needs are met and that the staff are supported and motivated.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of a nursery section, ensuring that the children's needs are met and that the staff are supported and motivated.
  • Work closely with the nursery manager and deputy manager to ensure that the nursery meets the standards and requirements of Ofsted, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the quality of care and education provided to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of early years practitioners to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality care and education.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursery section, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements
  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience working in an early years setting.
  • A sound knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
