Job Title: Senior Project Cost Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Cost Estimator to join our team at Montel Civil Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate contract requirements at a high level.
  • Prepare sub-contractor enquiries and collate their responses, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
  • Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process.
  • Assess and adhere to risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
  • Minimise subcontractor and material costs, communicate with design, planning, commercial, and bid management functions.
  • Build and retain commercial relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Develop a tender win strategy alongside business unit teams.

Requirements:

  • Numerate and IT literate, familiar with estimating software and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of popular forms of contract (NEC, ICC, JCT, etc.).
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the ever-changing construction industry.
