Senior Estimator and Cost Planning Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator and Cost Planning Expert to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our airport infrastructure and facilities development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost estimation and planning processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with project teams to apply cost management structures and ensure transparent cost comparisons throughout the project lifecycle
  • Design and maintain standard templates for presenting estimates and cost plans to stakeholders
  • Cultivate relationships with other airports and client organisations to establish a range of external benchmarks supporting value and capital efficiency demonstrations
  • Define and produce metrics for evaluating the cost-effectiveness of project estimates
Requirements:
  • Education to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field
  • Experience as a Cost Planner/Senior Estimator on multi-year programmes/projects with a value typically above £50m in a relevant industry
  • Experience in designing business processes for cost estimating, including the implementation of standardised Cost Breakdown Structures
  • Experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects in a live operational environment is highly desirable
