Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at UPS in Southampton. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet our high standards.

About the Role

As a Mechanic at UPS, you will be working on a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks, including routine checks, diagnostic work, and repairs. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard and that all vehicles are returned to service as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance checks on vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair faults on vehicles
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance tasks
  • Work with other mechanics to achieve maintenance targets
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out

Requirements

  • Full C1 UK driving licence
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics grade 3
  • Initiative, planning skills, and a flexible, enthusiastic approach

Working Hours

Shift pattern: 07:00 – 15:30 Day shift, 13:00 – 21:30 Late shift. Week on week off, or permanent late shift.
