About the Role
University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance and repairs across our hospital sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Work with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.
- Identify and report any issues or defects with equipment or systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Time served apprenticeship from a recognised body or equivalent experience in an electrical/mechanical engineering services discipline.
- Expert specialist training in electrical/mechanical services, systems, and equipment.
- Vocational qualifications in relevant subjects to an HNC/HND level or equivalent level of knowledge and practical experience.
