Lead Level Designer

Climax Studios is a renowned game development studio with a rich history of creating engaging digital experiences. We are seeking an experienced Lead Level Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next AAA title.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of level designers, creating and owning major immersive environments, and ensuring that the game meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of level designers to create engaging and immersive game environments
  • Design and build large, complex levels that create memorable gameplay experiences
  • Collaborate with the narrative and gameplay teams to ensure that the levels align with the game's vision and goals
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members to ensure that they are meeting the project's requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Level Designer on at least two published console titles
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide a team of designers
  • Excellent understanding of level design principles, including level flow, metrics, and pacing
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprinting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
