About the Job

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of NHS Health Information Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient retrieval and maintenance of patient health records.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of data protection principles and practices, particularly those related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. You will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

In terms of compensation, we offer a salary of £23,615 per annum, which is pro rata based on the number of hours worked. Our organization provides a range of benefits, including flexible working opportunities and a commitment to staff development and well-being.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Retrieve and maintain patient health records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely updates of patient information on electronic systems.
  3. Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including responding to queries and requests.

Requirements

  • Evidence of working in a healthcare setting.
  • Good understanding of data protection principles and practices, particularly those related to GDPR 2018.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in using electronic systems and office software.
