Vulnerable Children Care Worker

We are seeking a Vulnerable Children Care Worker to join our team at Zen Educate. As a Vulnerable Children Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special needs in a care setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults in special needs settings, but is now looking for a change. We offer long-term work opportunities in special needs schools, working with children diagnosed with autism, down syndrome, PMLD, SLD, and cerebral palsy.
The estimated salary for this position is £30,000-£40,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to children with special needs, including academic and social development
- Working closely with teachers, other staff members, and parents to ensure children's progress and needs are met
- Following educational healthcare plans and managing behaviors with consistency, empathy, and patience
- Providing personal care or toileting help as needed
We require the following skills and qualifications:
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one
- Flexibility and reliability in meeting the needs of the school
