Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality, Health and Safety Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our QHSE strategy across the business.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality assurance and health and safety, with exceptional communication and organizational skills. They will work closely with our Operations Director to ensure the smooth implementation of our QHSE initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Operations Director to ensure continual improvement of our QHSE initiatives, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to manage, monitor, and maintain our ISO standards.
  • Monitor and investigate all accidents/incidents and near misses.
  • Monitor and maintain all sub-contractor documentation to ensure it is valid and up-to-date.
  • Monitor employees' submission and completion of H&S records.
  • Manage the Work Wallet H&S platform.
  • Attend monthly H&S meetings; chair these meetings in the absence of the Operations Manager if necessary.
  • Update and maintain legal register database.
  • Carry out site H&S audit/inspections with the support of the Operations Director.
  • Develop and deliver training/toolbox talks to site crew and employees.
  • Complete pre-qualification questionnaires.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a Quality, Health and Safety role (Construction industry preferred).
  • Demonstrable desire to learn and improve (further training and development opportunities will be given).
  • Good communicator and teamworking skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
