Occupational Health Professional

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Professional to join our team at CV Library. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a highly skilled and experienced EHS professional who can provide expert advice and guidance on environmental health and safety matters.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS, with experience in managing emergency response teams, designing and delivering safety training programmes, and offering guidance on EHS standards and UK regulations.
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating projects related to environmental health and safety initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation and communication of safety programmes across the facility.
In this role, you will also support safety incident investigations, maintain the quality system's effectiveness, and ensure compliance with corporate, divisional, and local regulations.
You will develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures, and will step in to lead the EHS team in the absence of the EHS manager when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- EHS Programme Development: Develop and implement effective EHS programmes to ensure the successful execution of safety initiatives.
- Training Delivery: Deliver thorough EHS training programmes, offering resources and support to ensure employees are well-versed in safe work practices.
- Project Management: Manage and execute EHS projects as assigned, ensuring they align with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Compliance: Compile and submit safety and environmental reports to management, division leadership, corporate, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all required standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Implement and communicate Corporate, Divisional, Federal, State, and Local regulations, ensuring the facility adheres to all required standards.
- A NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (GradIOSH)
- A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Laws/Regulations
- Fluent in English
- Confident in computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office and Visio
- Proven experience in handling EHS issues, ideally within a manufacturing environment or other regulated industry
