Senior Environmental Health Manager

CV Library is currently recruiting for a Senior Environmental Health Manager to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation and communication of safety programmes across the facility.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a highly skilled and experienced EHS professional who can provide expert advice and guidance on environmental health and safety matters.

You will oversee and coordinate projects related to environmental health and safety initiatives, support safety incident investigations, and maintain the quality system's effectiveness.

In addition, you will develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures, and step in to lead the EHS team in the absence of the EHS manager when necessary.

Responsibilities
  1. EHS Programme Implementation: Develop and implement effective EHS programmes to ensure the successful execution of safety initiatives.
  2. Emergency Response Team Management: Manage and coordinate emergency response teams to ensure prompt and effective responses to incidents and emergencies.
  3. Safety Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  4. Quality System Maintenance: Maintain the quality system's effectiveness, ensuring compliance with corporate, divisional, and local regulations.
  5. Staff Development: Provide ongoing staff development and training to ensure employees are equipped to manage EHS initiatives effectively.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or a related field
  • Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Laws/Regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in handling EHS issues, ideally within a manufacturing environment or other regulated industry
