Job Title: Learning Support Assistant for SEND Pupils
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient Learning Support Assistant to work with SEND pupils in one of our Sheffield primary schools. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to SEND pupils in the classroom and during activities
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
- Help pupils with daily living skills and personal care
- Support pupils with challenging behaviors using de-escalation strategies
Requirements:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
- Experience working with SEND pupils
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
