Job Title: Deputy SENDCo

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy SENDCo to join our team at Sheffield Springs Academy. As a Deputy SENDCo, you will play a crucial role in supporting the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing the provision for SEND pupils, promoting high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the provision for SEND pupils, including promoting high-quality teaching and effective use of resources.
  • Support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for SEND pupils.
  • Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to ensure that SEND pupils receive the support they need to access the curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience and qualifications in SEND or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
