Maintenance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Jobwise Ltd. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the overall management of plant and equipment, including general upkeep and maintenance.
  • Support the Facilities Manager and Assistant Facilities Manager in the planning and implementation of maintenance programs.
  • Ensure day-to-day operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, including generators, HVAC equipment, and other systems.
  • Assist with the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance programs.
  • Ensure the correct storage and control of all consumable materials, equipment, and services in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Comply with method statements and safe working practices.
  • Ensure resources are used efficiently and standards of work are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Experience of both mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as general maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Experience of PPM maintenance would be beneficial.
  • Awareness of relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Formal trade qualification and relevant certifications (e.g. First Aid at Work, Manual Handling training).
  • A full valid driving license.
