Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Residential Worker at our care home in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with learning or physical disabilities and additional health or behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with the team to provide a flexible, responsive, and person-centred care and support to children and young people according to their individual needs and support plans.
- Support children and young people in their personal care, administration of medication, and clinical procedures in line with their support plans and organisational policies and procedures.
- Encourage and support children and young people to develop independence in areas such as personal care, administration of medication, and clinical procedures.
- Ensure that the views and needs of children and young people are sought, heard, and responded to in a way that suits them, promoting communication and participation.
- Maintain accurate records and files, utilising agreed systems and procedures, and undertake administrative tasks as necessary.
- Be familiar with and work according to health, environmental, and safety policies and procedures, taking immediate action to reduce risk and inform senior management as necessary.

You will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to provide high-quality care and support.
