Centre Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Centre Operations Manager to join our team at Oxford Innovation Space. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Assist in setting, monitoring, and developing standards for the centre's presentation, including cleanliness, health and safety, and security.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act, working closely with the Operations team.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Maintain and deliver the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in a timely manner, ensuring the centre's assets are well-maintained.
  • Procurement and Management: Assist in procurement and management of contractors, suppliers, and consumables, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Team Leadership: Primary responsibility for implementing agreed standard operating procedures and monitoring criteria with the centre team, ensuring overall performance is maximised.
  • Asset Management: Maintain the Centre Asset register & Contract Database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Financial Management: Support the Centre Director/Manager with financial management information, including invoicing customers and debt management.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in the operational running of an asset of the size, character, and quality of the relevant centre.
  • Management Skills: Clearly identifiable management skills to manage a team within a service environment, ensuring overall performance is maximised.
  • Negotiation Skills: Evidence of negotiation skills within previous roles, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Personal Competencies: Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

  • Competitive Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
