We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our close-knit design teams in our Thetford and Hertford facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the Hertford and Thetford drawings offices, ensuring drawings are produced in accordance with timescales, quality, and customer requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure designs meet commercial, quality, and statutory requirements.
- Review current processes and software, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Recruit, train, and manage design teams, including disciplinary actions and one-to-one meetings.
- Produce KPI reports for the head of projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD and 3D software such as Inventor or Solidworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment, with knowledge of CAM software such as Radan or TruTops.
