Technical SEO Specialist

Central Employment is delighted to be working with an established Newcastle-based digital agency, as they look to recruit a Technical SEO Consultant.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical SEO Consultant to join our team. As a Technical SEO Consultant, you will play a key role in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies that drive results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical site audits to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance client's online presence.
- Collaborate with the web and software development teams to ensure seamless integration of digital marketing campaigns.
- Develop and implement link acquisition plans to improve client's online visibility.
- Conduct competitor analysis and backlink audits to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide detailed site architecture and URL structure recommendations to the in-house development teams.
- Troubleshoot and debug roadblocks in search engines or users accessing content.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in technical SEO best practices and share knowledge across the team.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office package.
- 2+ years of experience in a dedicated Technical SEO role.
- A good understanding of SEO principles and Google best practices.
- Great knowledge of Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
- A working knowledge of how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together.
- A basic understanding of client-server behavior and the HTTP protocol.
- Good knowledge of website crawling tools, Screaming Frog and Deep Crawl.
- First-hand experience of using popular CMS, like WordPress.
