Care Home Chef Position

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As the Care Home Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our residents, using fresh ingredients and adhering to dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for large numbers of people
- Schedule weekly meal menus, taking into account individual dietary needs
- Work with the Home Manager to ensure stock ordering is within budget
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure meal plans align with individual support plans
- Maintain quality assurance systems in the kitchen
- Supervise other kitchen team members
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
Requirements:
- Experience of cooking for large groups
- NVQ Level 2 in catering and hospitality
- 2 years' experience in a catering environment
- 12 months experience in managing a kitchen
- Excellent interpersonal skills
