Strategic Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Finance team at Islington Council.
This role will involve working closely with the Strategic Finance Manager to support the preparation of financial reports and statements, as well as leading on the provision of technical financial advice and training for colleagues across the council.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting and excellent analytical skills, with experience in preparing financial reports and statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing financial reports and statements
- Providing technical financial advice and training
- Designing and monitoring sound financial practices and controls
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and modernisation
- Playing a key role in implementing the new finance system
Salary Range: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
