Senior Mental Health Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional to join our Emergency Duty Service team. As an Approved Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing emergency assessments under the Mental Health Act and working closely with our experienced Managers and Practitioners to deliver a high-quality service to vulnerable adults and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing emergency assessments under the Mental Health Act
- Working closely with our experienced Managers and Practitioners to deliver a high-quality service
- Developing and implementing care plans to meet the needs of service users
- Communicating effectively with service users, their families, and other professionals
- Participating in on-call rota to provide a 24/7 service
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with experience of direct work with children and families
- Approved Mental Health Professional under the 1983 Mental Health Act
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
- Driving licence and ability to travel
