Cybersecurity Expert for Edge Cloud Solutions

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Expert to join our team at Fastly, Inc., a leading edge cloud platform provider. This role will be based out of our London office and will require travel to the US and internationally.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the growth and development of our security products. As a Senior SOC analyst, you will be responsible for supporting Fastly's security offerings, monitoring customer activity, and identifying potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing exceptional support to customers on security-related issues
  • Analyzing web traffic and detecting suspicious activity
  • Triage and responding to incoming tickets and alerts in a timely manner
  • Developing and reviewing security reports to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Managing security configurations for our customers to ensure their data remains secure
  • Creating new alerts and attack mitigations to stay ahead of emerging threats
  • Modifying existing controls to optimize performance and effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Strong background in infosec and application security with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends
  • Proficiency in core internet technologies such as DNS, HTTP, and TLS
  • Understanding of the OSI model and ability to explain potential exploit methods
  • Software development skills in Go, Rust, or Python
  • Experience with log visualization tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk
  • Cloud ecosystem knowledge and experience with Kubernetes or Terraform
