TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading chartered accountancy practice in Tonbridge, Kent, in their search for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and take on a challenging role that offers excellent career prospects.
About the RoleThe Audit & Accounts Manager will be responsible for leading a team of auditors and accountants, overseeing the planning and delivery of audit and accounts assignments, and managing client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit and accounts, with experience gained in a practice environment as an Audit Semi Senior/Senior/Associate.
Main Responsibilities- Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments
- Lead large and complex assignments
- Review statutory accounts preparation and corporate tax computations
- Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work
- Deliver the audit file to the partner in a timely manner
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points
- Manage client communication effectively
- Monitor chargeability and assignment budgets proactively
- Coach other staff for improved performance and technical development
- Develop specialist sector knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry developments
- Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to the training and development programme
- ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience, or qualified by experience
- Ability to apply audit standards through practical application
- Knowledge of UK GAAP
- Practical knowledge of the preparation of group accounts
- Knowledge of IFRS would be useful but not essential
- Experience of both not-for-profit clients and corporate clients would be advantageous but is not essential
- A highly competitive salary of circa £48,000-£58,000 dependent on experience, background, and qualifications - negotiable
