TPF Recruitment is supporting a reputable chartered accountancy practice in Kent, seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join their team on a permanent, full-time or part-time basis.

About the Role

The practice has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit and accounting services, and this role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including companies and charities. As an Audit & Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering audit assignments, leading teams, and overseeing workflow.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver audit assignments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Lead large and complex assignments, utilizing your expertise and leadership skills.
  • Review statutory accounts, corporate tax computations, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure their growth and development.
  • Manage client communication, ensuring effective relationships and timely delivery of audit files.
  • Monitor chargeability and assignment budgets, ensuring proactive management and control.
  • Develop specialist sector knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Mentor audit & accounts trainees, contributing to the training and development program.
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with post-qualification experience or qualified by experience.
  • Ability to apply audit standards through practical application.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Practical experience in preparing group accounts and managing client relationships.
