About the Role

The practice has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit and accounting services to a diverse range of clients. As an Audit & Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of accountants and auditors, overseeing the planning and delivery of audit assignments, and ensuring the timely completion of statutory accounts and corporate tax computations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of accountants and auditors to deliver high-quality audit and accounting services
  • Plan and deliver audit assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to audit standards
  • Review and prepare statutory accounts and corporate tax computations
  • Supervise junior staff and provide guidance and support to ensure their professional development
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points
  • Manage client communication and relationships
  • Monitor chargeability and assignment budgets
  • Coach and mentor staff to improve performance and technical development
  • Develop specialist sector knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry developments
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience or qualified by experience
  • Ability to apply audit standards through practical application
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Practical knowledge of the preparation of group accounts
  • Knowledge of IFRS would be useful but not essential
  • Experience of both not-for-profit clients and corporate clients would be advantageous but is not essential
