About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Monkseaton Medical Centre. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Process patient payments and handle cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and medical information.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of resources.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice.
- Knowledge of SystmOne computer system or similar.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
