About the Role
The Head of Finance will be responsible for leading our financial operations effectively and efficiently. Reporting to the Assistant Principal – Culture & Resources, you will oversee Management Accounts and Accounts Payable/Receivable activity. The successful candidate will provide strategic support to Assistant Principals across the College to deliver the new strategy in a manner consistent with the College's values.

Key Responsibilities
Leading a professional finance service, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements. Overseeing the preparation and review of monthly management accounts. Developing and implementing finance policies to support strategic decision-making. Engaging with external stakeholders to ensure best practices in financial management. Qualifications and Experience - what we're looking for:
  • Educated to degree level or with demonstrable relevant professional experience at SCQF level 9 or above.
  • Professional experience; professional accounting qualifications (CA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) are desired.
  • Extensive experience in management accounting and financial statement oversight and leading in the annual audit process.
  • Proven ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.

Salary
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £64,887 per annum based on the location and industry standards.
