About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Merchandiser to join our Gaming category team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our Merchandising team, you will play a vital role in delivering customer-focused product ranges and achieving sales, profit, margin, and stock targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review weekly trading performance and identify opportunities and issues to inform category and SKU level forecasts.
  • Own and manage category and SKU level forecasts to optimise sales, stock holding, margin, and availability.
  • Collaborate with the A&R replenishment assistant to plan initial allocations and launch builds to meet stock and availability targets.
  • Drive efficiency and maximise availability through strong analytical and numerical skills, coupled with proficiency in using merchandising systems.
  • Manage order management processes, maintain data integrity, and ensure compliance with legal and sustainability requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin position, or a relevant field graduate.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, coupled with proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach, willingness to learn new systems, and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
